in Credit cards
Hi there, I recently opened a current account with chequebook overdraft, etc, my credit rating, i guess would be in the fair range.
I noticed I am not on the voters roll, but I did show the bank my passport, bank statements, etc to prove were i stay, If in the future I apply for credit cards, loans, etc will this flag up that I am not on electrol roll, or does it just affect my overall rating, Thanks.
I have no interest of going on the voters roll, as I vehemently despise politics & politicians #willnevereverevervote

Being on the electoral roll, helps banks and credit providers confirm your identity. It also confirms that you have lived at your address for as long as you say you have when making any credit applications.
I would suggest putting yourself on the electoral roll just to make things a bit more easier in the future, just because your on it doesn't mean you have to vote.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
You don't have to vote - but it might be worth registering.kazybaby0141 wrote: ».....I have no interest of going on the voters roll, as I vehemently despise politics & politicians #willnevereverevervote
Per The Electoral Commission
"You need to be on the electoral register to vote in all UK elections and referendums. You are not automatically registered even if you pay council tax. If you receive a request for your registration information from your local electoral registration office then you are legally obliged to respond. If you do not respond, or if you provide false information, then you could receive a £1,000 fine.
Not being registered may also affect your credit rating."".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0 -

Depriving yourself of any say in who is elected seems a strange reaction to despising those whom other people elect.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0
