I am all for events but I was close enough that this was a nuisance for me. I personally would have thought 10 or half past a more reasonable time for cut off... All I got was kept awake by a barely intelligible booming (not to mention the kids crying and the dogs in the area going nuts!).

Weekend and I would have been happier.

I think 11pm is a perfectably suitable off time (which is in keeping with the noise abatement act)

The Noise Act 1996 states that the hours of “night” are 11pm to 7am so technically loud music from a party should be turned off, or at the very least down at 11pm.

I was at the Foo Fighters and it was a brilliant night! I think its brilliant that Belfast can now attract such bands.

Although i would also have preferred a weekend so I didn't have to go to work the next day!

We cannot go around not making noise at anytime for fear of upsetting people who sleep different hours etc. Normal time for getting up for work in Belfast is probably 7 - 8am - therefore allowing everyone the recommended 8 hours sleep.
Obviously there will be people on different shifts who sleep different hours etc, so do you not let children out to play during the day for fear of distrurbing people asleep after night shifts etc?
