Identify this plant please?

Hi,

I planted a few seeds sometime back and I've forgotten what this is.
Can you please help me identify this plant?
TIA.

Cowslip is a flowering plant, right? I do not remember having planted those seeds. Or could it have come from a salad seed packet?

Mmmn, I'd say lettuce leaf too.
  • Thanks for all the responses. Bit the bullet and tasted one leaf and it is indeed lettuce :j Tastes sort of romaine lettuce though the leaves do not form a tight head, rather like loose leaves. So very remiss of me not to have labelled the pot when I planted the seeds.

I think it's a sort of cos lettuce, it will heart up if left to grow large and given enough space, but I like to eat the leaves individually, the plants last for ages then.

Would say young romaine lettuce - check out the google images for romaine lettuce young, they're very close. As Lotus-eater has said it will work great for cut and come again salad leaves. :)
