I had to pay a holding fee when i moved into Student accommodation many moons ago! The fact that i didnt want it for the summer months sadly wasnt the landlords problems when they wanted half rent off me for the months i wasnt there :( Seems to be part and parcel though. Im sure it probably still is!

Is it a student let or professional? Not that it really matters - i would assume that the reason they are charging the £200 is because you have opted not to move in for a few weeks and therefore that would be the pro-rata rate?

Id assume that you wouldnt get that back but would be best to check with the landlord just in case!
    £2 Savers Club #156! :)
Looking for holiday ideas for 2016. Currently, Isle of Skye in March, Riga in May, Crete in June and Lake District in October. August cruise cancelled, but Baby due September 2016! :j
