Just about 3 weeks ago a housemartins nest fell from our wall and I rescued a tiny 3/4 week old one. I had no idea what to do, it was a Saturday and I rang the vet and she said to bring it in on Monday but in the meantime I found a friend who had raised some earlier. She took it away and has looked after it, she came up with it this weekend and we set it free, it was a lovely moment.
Leave it covered up, they feed on creepy crawlies/insects. Take it up the the Vets in the morning.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I am afraid that 2 weeks ago i had to euthanase a crow with a badly broken wing. I felt sick afterwards -although it was quick and i am sure that i did the right thing."if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170

So....a few months late, but im pleased to say that the little Dove was gone in the morning
Hope the little thing survived. I think it probably flew into the stone wall at the front of my house and shocked itself
