Faster payment HBOS >Santander

Does anyone know how long a faster payment between these banks takes?
I was going to switch my DD to the 123 account but would need the money to leave my HBOS current acc and go to Santander on the same day.

Same as all banks, ie USUALLY less than 2 hours but worst case end of next working day. That is the spec for FP, you cannot rely 100% on same day between any two banks with FP.

Thanks for that. I suppose I could change payment date to 3rd rather than 1st of the month (I get paid on last day).

The worst case scenario is Christmas or Easter when two bank holidays fall over a weekend. Next working day can actually be 5 days later!
Every time there are posters on here complaining about delay; it is not normally the case but it does happen and it is allowed within the rules for FP.
