Has anyone's Halifax online mortgage account changed yet? They said that the online account will give more details when it's changed over to the new system but mine is still just one figure.
  • I would not hold your breath for your account to be changed or re appear on the online service. As an ex employee I can tell you their change procedures are so complex and bureaucratic it takes months to even complete the simplest of tasks. This is to ensure they never have the issues seen by RBS customers however as an employee it drives you round the bend trying to do your job.

Also a large amount of Lloyds / Halifax IT has been outsourced now, a large number of my ex colleagues have just been made redundant in the latest round and from what I am told this slows things down even more.

FYI online people - I logged into my online account this morning and my mortgage has appeared.

It is definitely better - it used to just show you the number, but it now has a statement showing money coming in and how much interest was charged.

....the 12 month statement is rubbish tho....it only shows 2 weeks worth of transactions, i would like to be able to see how many payments i have made over the FULL 12 months..... (i do lots of ad hoc overpayments):mad:

    hi all,
i had a 'make payment' set up from my halifax current account to mortgage account and i pay bits into it every month (overpayments).
just been on this morning to make an over payment but the OLD mortgage account details are still showing, if i make a payment to this will it still go through?

I've had lots of info though about this and I have my new mortgage number through, it now also appears in my online banking.

If I over pay I tend to do it in a one off sum.
Don't try to keep up with the Joneses - Drag them down to your level - it's cheaper . :p:D

Anyone think i need to set up a whole new payment into the new account number... or will it still recognise the old numer and go in ok?

Use the new number. The old number (roll) originates from the days when Halifax was a building society. Now the accounts are being transferred onto the Lloyds banking system. Your mortgage account will be treated just like any other loan account.

in case anyone wants to know, i made a payment to my mortgage with the 'old' set up payment details and the payment has gone through fine... so no need to set up a new 'payment' with the new account number ( they must be linked in the background):money:

I would just take 2 mins and change to the new number. Keeping the old number active may be an interim measure in place for the change over.
