Hi i have two questions
1 - i used to have a bank loan with Natwest and have for the last 2 years of the loan been covered by my insureance , but could i claim for the years that i paid and did not claim ?

2- i am struggling to get natwest to engage in a claim for my credit card should i just go for ppi refund or try to use the insurance

3- also i have an overdraft and want to claim on that can i??

just over 2 years ago i had 6 months of work due to a broken back and my loan insurance was able to back date this and also my current claim which has now ended

i have lost my job for the since last October due to health reasons but have been off work for a total of 2 years

1 - Probably not because you've demonstrated that you do have a need for the product because you're claiming on it.
2 - Your question isn't clear. Are you paying it and want to cancel it, then reclaim it, or do you want to use it to claim on it to repay your payments with it?
3 - Your overdraft will have interest on it, not PPI, so you can't claim it, but if you think you've been charged too much in bank charges, not interest, then you can reclaim those, there's a link to separate area of this board at the top for that.

    Thats actually slightly misleading.

"The firm should not consider that a successful claim by the complainant is, in
itself, sufficient evidence that the complainant had a need for the policy or had
understood its terms or would have bought it regardless of any breach or failing
    by the firm."

  • Hi.

I had a mortgage with Halifax from about May 1997 - 2001. I was definitely sold PPi with it as I remember clearly being told it was a condition of acceptance. My husband was self employed at the time and I was employed.

However I do not have any of the paperwork anymore. Is it worth pursuing and if so, how do i go about it with no evidence? I really really need the money at the moment!

    Thanks in advance!
