The former. Had they followed normal practice and asked him instead of committing such a brazen act of purpresture, he might have considered it.Would selling a small part of the garden affect the value of his house? He doesn't appear to need a large garden himself.
You are absolutely correct, he didn't need the garden. Shortly afterwards, he put up the whole end of his garden up for sale to the highest bidder. It has now got a house on it.0 -
