Outlook - Contacts emails

Hi there,
I've recently changed to Outlook.com and have a question about sending emails to contacts who have more than one email address.
I've had a look online but I've no idea how to pose my question in the right way, so hopefully you'll understand.
Example - Every few days I send a picture of my new daughter to my family around the world. My sister has a work email address and a personal email address. Same for my mum and other sister. that's 6 different email addresses in total. I have them in a group called "Family"
When I send a picture to "Family" it only sends to 3 email addresses, i.e one per contact.
My question is this - Is there a way to send to all 6 email addresses in the "Family" group, or do I have to create seperate contacts, i.e Mum Work, Mum Home.
I know outlook.com is quite new, but hopefully someone knows what I'm raving about!

You need a separate contact for each email address. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

God, thats a bit of a pain isn't it - So if I sync with my phone then I'll have 2 entries in my contact list for nearly everyone!
Why do they bother offering you the opportunity of entering Home / work / personal / other email addresses under the one contact name?
Thanks for your reply though - not your fault:j0 -
OK, I've just had a proper play with Outlook.com. You don't need to duplicate contacts.
If you add more than one email address to a contact then you will get an extra entry in your contacts list for that person, although there is only one physical contact entry. Just add the addreesses that you want into the dist list
ETA. Forget that it still only adds the first email address into the groupThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
And the bad news from Microsoft is
So it looks like a separate contact entry for each email address is the only way forward for using both in a groupOutlook.com will only use the Personal address for a group.
If you edit a contact, right click on a different email address and select Personal. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I commend your diligence in trying to find a solution!
Thanks a million for your help!0 -
If you go to file > New > Distribution List and then add all of the email addresses you wish to notify.
Save and then start a new email
Click the "To" button and select your new "Family List" from the Contacts list and then OK.
How does that work for you?
So each time you send a picture you just send it to "family" and then Outlook sends it to all of the addresses.0 -
This is outlook.com we are talking about (replacement for Hotmail) not the Outlook that comes with MS OfficeIf you go to file > New > Distribution List and then add all of the email addresses you wish to notify.
Save and then start a new email
Click the "To" button and select your new "Family List" from the Contacts list and then OK.
