Finally debt free

Since getting my first credit card 2 years ago (within a week of my 18th birthday  ) I somehow managed to rack up around 18k worth of debt in just over a year.

I've just written out the last couple of cheques to CC companies to get every penny I owe cleared so I'm now officially debt free :j

Now is definetely the time I need to discipline myself with spending - I've been cycling to work recently which is also helping cut transport costs a lot :T

Seriously hope I don't get myself into this again !

Well done, it's a great feeling isn't it. See the positive side of this, you learnt very early in your life how debt can take over your life and make things very difficult and downright miserable. With that lesson learned you can move on and make sound financial decisions for your future giving you choices to do whatever you wish with your life. Good luck and well done again x

Hi, Congrats on clearing your debt.

Are you going to cancel your cards or reduce the credit limits so you cant get into problems again? Many people have cleared them only tun them up again within a couple of years again!
