Decorating advice

I will be decorating my little boys bedroom as a surprise for him soon. He has chosen the bedding and curtains that he likes and I am just sorting out paint colours now.
When we were at Next they had this bedding in one of their displays and the painted walls surrounding it really made it look great. Next staff helped us greatly by advising which paint colours had been used. Has anyone used the Next paint range? Is it any good? Does it cover well and look nice?
Must admit I usually use Farrow and Ball and have got use to their lovely chalky finishes. Could anyone recommend a nice grey colour in their range and also a nice strong blue.
Well done if you have got this far and sorry for so many questions. Its just nice to get recommendations on these sort of things

The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

Sorry, I can't answer your queries regarding Next paint as I've not used it myself. However if you want the paint to match the colours in the bedding, take part of the bedding to your local independent painting/decorating store and they can mix any paint to match (including Farrow and Ball).
Our local independent painting/decorating store is superb, great prices and I've found the paint matching and actual paint to be much better quality (even same makes). We once bought some garden fence paint from B&Q and it was all watery and clumpy at the bottom, had to mix it with a stick, thought nothing of it until we bought a pot from the independent place, I was amazed at the difference - heaven knows how B&Q had stored it to make it go to such a gloopy mess.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

Marisco, I would just say - go to your local Wickes, B & Q or Homebase, because they will have a whole range of colours from Dulux and Crown, plus own brands.
We have always used their paints, and I used to spray paint cars, so am really fussy when it comes to quality.
Get a load of colour charts, plus quite a few of the mini pots of paint, and colour large areas of one wall, with contrasting blue and grey. The most important thing, is to apply at least two coats and let it dry.0 -
i too love the F&B finish - I got a dulux paint colour mixed to match one and although the colour was ok the finish wasn't as good.
I also love litte greene paint - similar chalky finish but they also do a washable matt emulsion - great for kids roomsPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
