02 mobile bill

hey

I hope this is the right place. I had a mobile bill to pay off which took a long time to pay off.

I have just paid off the bill. The woman on the phone told me that the info that I cleared the bill will go to my credit file.

Now my question is will my credit file improve immediately or will it take a few months to improve? the amount itself was not all that much. it is just that like an idiot i took a while to pay it off. :(

    well, were you defaulted?
If so, paying it off will help but will remain on your file for 6 years.
If you keep on doing what's you've always done, you'll keep on being what you've always been...

after these 10 days will my credit improve much or will it will the score be the same as it was before I made the payment?

I know that it will improve in the long run. Just wondering for the short term?

if you default the entire credit file is pretty much ruined for 6 years (but don't take my word for it) I've had the same with Vodafone. I default paid the entire lot of and from the final payment days to 10 working days it showed on my file "settled and satified" the long run it's better paying it off then leaving it to rack up mass debt..

Sadly, it won't make he slightest difference as the history of the default will remain and snag any search, until it becomes time barred.
