My bank is ignoring the letter I sent about the charges

As above

I sent it two weeks ago and heard nothing.

I am tempted to close the account - then they might take notice:mad: :mad:
An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:
I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.

    What is that - I'm not sure what happens next

    I thought I might get an acknowledgement - been with them for 20 years

    Will ring them and see what happens, and threaten to close the account.

    From what I have read, loyalty means nothing to them!

  • once you have sent them your letter asking for your charges back and the time fram has elapsed move onto Step 4 which informs them of you next action to take them to court.

    Hi CCStar,

    I get the impression loyalty counts for nothing too.

    I believe it's maybe the credit worthy customers or the big savers they acknowledge as priority.

    I may be wrong but bank charges affect ability to obtain an overdraft or an increased overdraft facility which is needed to cover these charges. It's a vicious circle. So we are then regarded as insignificant and temporarily of no value to the bank.

    On the other hand if you have savings of over £5000 they can't do enough for you.

    It's all about the sale??

    Taff ;)
