feedback query

quick query - I'm in the middle of a non payment dipute with a buyer and they have already left negative feedback slating me.
They have now messaged me asking me to close the Non payment claim early and to mutually cancel the transaction instead and they will cancel the negative feedback

first question - if they remove now it, can they re-submit the negative at a later date?

Second - am I correct in thinking that if I leave the Non payment claim open to expire naturally, that once a strike has been issued the negative will or could be removed?

any help much appreciated

If your buyer fails to pay, the negative will be removed.

Keep the dispute going, block them and then get the feedback removed.

They can only revise a neg to a neutral or a positive, but they can still leave low stars.

So, leave them to stew, close the dispute when it's ready to strike them.

thought so, just had to confirm as I know I've had non-payment claims where buyers could leave petty bad feedback and couldnt recall if I imagined this fairer change or not.

thanks a lot for your response.
its just a shame I've got a few things ending this week and cant close the case for another 3 days - my feedback looks awful as a result :(

nevermind, they will be the one with the strike in the end, not me

figured I'd add to this one instead of starting a new thread - seems the arsey buyers are out in force tonight.
Just had another snotty message regarding an item I shipped and has been returned to me with an address query. So I message the buyer politely asking to confirm the address and saying I would reship at no extra cost. But instead they bite back with this:

i dont believe it was ever posted, keep it and refund me, otherwise i shall open a case against you on 24th and get my money back anyway, i am fed up of being mucked about by you, dont bother coming back at me with a load of excuses just refund me!

now obviously I'm concerned about getting a negative, especially whilst I await the above one to be removed.....so I'm wondering whats the best way to handle this?

I should add that the buyer contacted me, 2 days after paying (they paid sunday eve and I had a message tues morn), demanding to know where the item was. I advised as they had paid for 2nd class to allow a litte longer (I also re-advised of the up to 3 day dispatch I have on all my listings) and asked if they could allow until the next week for arrival and if not to get back in touch for a refund (all this negating the fact I have to wait 15 working days before I can claim back from RM...so annoying IMO) and the response I got was:

hi, it would have been nice for you to have marked the item as dispatched then ebay would have sent me an automated message telling me so, i dont care about royal mail estimates, if it doesnt turn up within a resonable time then i will open a ebay case.

granted I didnt mark as sent as I do sometimes forget to update immediately as I use the seller tool's and it was marked as packed there as I'm packing things
Either way, the buyers seem's argumentative from the get go

any help is much appreciated as I cant afford another negative right now.

How about taking a photo of the pack with the address visible & query note, and ask them to confirm whether this is the right address.
Seeing a picture might make them believe you.
