Car Insurance Con??

Please help, I have tried to be honest and loomk where it has got me:

The Scenario - I am moving on 1st September from CT20 to ME7, therefore I am changing all my bills etc for the new address.

The Disaster - Rang Kwik Fit Insurance to update my car insurance which is due for renewal on 21st October to discover that my current insurer will not cover my car after 01/09 due to the new location (secure off street parking??) I have even reduced my mileage from 30k to 5k.

Oh and the kicker is I also lose this years NCB as I have not completed the year even though I have paid 11/12th of the premium????

I am now stuck as legally I cannot leave the address the same and have already given the insurance company all my moving details what do I do - Are they allowed to do this?????:mad:

If your current company are not willing to cover it then yes they are allowed to do this.

You could ask them to speak to the underwriter due to the time left on cover see if they will offer a goodwill arrangement but other than that can't see what you can do.

Thanks for the response, I did not think this could happen, guess I am going to have to ring kwik fit and ask for this months money back as I will have to go elsewhere - what a joke :(:(
