BA travel insurance claim

I originally posted this in the travel forum then realised it was taking an Insurance forum turn.
So, I need to cancel flights due to a broken foot. The claims form says it needs completing by a "usual medical practioner" aka gp. I haven't seen my gp as I went to a + e, so they said the hospital doctor will do. I've got an appointment next week, so i could ask him then but is there anyway of getting in touch with someone who could complete the form before then? i've made so many phone calls already and now I need to work out who can complete this form.
The flights I'm trying to claim for leave Sept 1st and I'm concerned that I need to get this in progress before then...
Thanks
