Which card to apply for?

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could lend their lender/card experience to help me decide which credit card I am best applying for with the best chance of acceptance.

I really need to move an expensive debt onto a new BT card. I havent made any finance applications in about 12 months except my new mobile phone contract back in April. I have never missed a payment on anything - my credit file reads pretty green zeros on everything for the past 7 years - yet last year I was refused on three cards between 16/06/11-21/08/2011 ( RBS and Santander/Abbey and also MBNA although it isnt on my Experian report for some reason and, despite having had an MBNA card in the past that Id had for several years, always paid by direct debit, paid off and closed).

I think the reason for my declined applications was high balances on the cards I had, maybe considered to have too much credit.

I currently have:

Capital One - Limit £6050, balance £4800 (it was pretty much maxed last year)

Halifax - Limit £3600, balance £2813 (I paid it off, then BT another card onto it so this is 0%)

HBOS - Limit £1950 balance £1840 (this is the one I want to shift, as I know once Ive cleared this card they'll offer me 0% BT and prob up the credit limit)

Barclaycard - closed account, just paying off the last £650

ASDA - £1700 - no balance (I waited to see if they would offer me a 0% deal if I kept it clear for a few months, but alas nothing so I am now going to close it).

I am a homeowner, and work F/T with a household income (including bonuses, chiold support payments, child benefit etc) of £34,000.

I bank with Halifax and Barclays.

If anyone can suggest a card they think I may have a decent chance of being accepted on so that I can transfer the HBOS balance onto it, get a 0% existing customer deal on the HBOS and then BT as much of my Capital One debt onto it so that I can then bring all my debts down to four low/no interest cards (cancelling the Asda and the Barclaycard) I would be very grateful!
