Velux Window - Flat roof system Ref PO4

Velux Window - Flat roof system Ref PO4

Can the framed glass unit be fitted into the fixed wooden frame from the outside, as the instructions show installation of a loft velux (from the inside) and not a flat roof type which is normally at least 2.4m above the floor? It's easier to get it onto the flat roof rather than 2 persons manhandle it up to the 2.4m ceiling and then position it at that height.

I can now answer myself, which may help someone else! The framed glass window can be installed from the outside but it must be positioned almost upside down! (the installation sheet does not make this clear) Also I would suggest installing it immediately after fixing the main frame, and fix all the flashings etc later. It may also help to remove the two screwed-in flashings from the framed glass piece to avoid any damage, then re-fix later.
