I am currently with Barclays Premier. Paying £25 a month for travel insurance, gadget insurance, car breakdown cover and the concierge service and airport lounge access - other benefits I do not use.
I like the idea of a premier account but who should I move to. Salary in the region of £55,000.

You won't get their top account earning 55k a year you'll need to earn 75k plus or have 50k saved within Barclays.
You have the premier life that anyone can have.0 -

Barclays had a lot of scandal recently. Also changed alot of features in the account.
Barclaycard recently annoyed me - basically took the direct debit out and never paid it back to me when i ask after all I had paid the balance off.
Any suggestions I can try?0 -
You could open the HSBC premier account. HSBC Premier is available without a monthly fee if you meet certain financial eligibility criteria.
You have savings or investments of at least £50,000 with HSBC in the UK. We request that your main income is paid into your HSBC Premier Bank Account;
You have an individual annual income of at least £100,000 paid into your HSBC Premier Bank Account and either:- a mortgage(s) of at least £300,000 with HSBC in the UK
- a product taken out through our independent financial advisory service, excluding mortgage-related insurance;

Coop do a premier type account for a fee of around £12. No eligibility requirement. I do question the need for a premier account per se. Your salary whilst good is small fry to a bank. Hence for most 'real' premier accounts you will not meet their eligibility criteria.
Premier life is now closed to new customers0
