What will happen to benefits if I try to go to college?

Hi everyone, I'm after a wee bit of advice and hoping someone will be able to help.
I receive dla (higher care, lower mobility) ESA (partner is on claim) tax credits and hubby receives carers allowance for me.
I have considered trying to go to college hoping it might help me get out more and increase my qualifications, with the hope of it increasing my chances of finding work... I don't know how i will cope doing this but I want to at least try.
How will this affect my benefits? Will it be manageable? What if i can't manage to stay at college?
As you can see I'm very confused and hoping someone can enlighten me!
I'm in Scotland if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance
J

As I understand it, it is possible to claim ESA, if you are also claiming DLA, and are a student.
Otherwise, fulltime studenting stops you being entitled to ESA.
Would you be living at home?
I gather you don't recieve working tax credits, just I assume child tax credits?0 -
Thanks for reply, yes me & partner rent a property, and I meant child tax credits sorry (we have 3 kids)
Where would I find out if that's correct?
Cheers
