What are these tiny flies?

Recently I have noticed some tiny little flies have been hanging round the plug hole of my bath. This morning when I took the hair trap off to clean it about a dozen of these tiny flies emerged from the plug hole. My question is, what kind of fly are they and why do they seem to be living in my bath?! Are they doing any harm there- should I try to get rid of them or just leave them be? Thanks for any advice

I tried to take a pic but they're too small!! No more than 1 to 2 mm in length.0

Gnats? Living down the plughole. Some bleach down the hole and in overflow should get rid of them or keep them for pets :-)0

Thanks Bettie. I just gave them a good squirt of bleach. Seems a bit mean but I'm not sure I want them living in the plug hole then flying into the kitchen and spreading germs. Hopefully they'll get the message and move on somewhere else!
