Yes ....whilst I've not fitted to an LG I have done to 5/6 other phones over the years without any problemDo others agree with almillar's advice, that I can safely ignore LG and install an HC card?
In fact if you go to Amazon theres a 16gb one for £5 which if you bundle it up with a 99p sim card reader the worst that could happen is you end up with a 16gb dongle to use on your computer for £5.99
Correction just checked and it's gone up to £6.59 ...typical

You can safely ignore LG, they know nothing. All microSD cards above 4GB are sdhc.0

Yep, you're wasting your time with these call centre numpties. Different cards do have different speeds, the number in the little circle tells you what 'Class' the card is in - Class 4 being OK, Class 10 being really fast and obviously costing more.0

Very many thanks to everyone who has taken the trouble to respond.
As I said earlier, I am not technically literate, which is why I was seeking absolute assurance that it was OK to use HC. Had I done the wrong thing and mucked up the new phone, The Boss Lady would not have been pleased . . .
So thanks again. I'll get an SDHC.0 -
This is CLASSIC! :rotfl:
As you will see above, the wallies at LG have repeatedly told me NOT to install a Micro SD HC card, as "HC is not compatible with the E400".
But following my latest challenge to this advice, they have suddenly changed their tune completely and emailed this today:
LG recommends using standard microSD cards , however we are aware that these are increasingly becoming difficult to obtain. With that in mind we would like to advise that our handsets do accept and support microSDHC cards , however only class 4 and under.
(The emphasis is mine.)
You couldn't make it up!
Without the advice from people on this Forum, I might have believed LG's original advice not to use HC. So thanks again, and there's a lesson here for everyone who consults the "experts" at Customer Service Centres.0
