Butlins cancellation

Hi, just wondering if anyone has had butlins cancel their holiday after a late payment for the balance of their holiday

About 4 months ago a group of 12 of us paid £30 deposit each for a butlins 80's weekend. A friend booked it and paid the deposits. Shes been asked alot of times when the balance needs to be paid. She said she would find out but obviously hasn't.

Its now nearly 6 weeks til we go and the final balance hasn't been paid, i checked the Butlins terms and conditions myself tonight and it turns out it should have been paid 8 weeks before and if it wasnt they MAY cancel the holiday.

Friends out for the night so cant ring her now. Fearing the worst to be honest as they are really popular. Any advice or experiences of this kind of thing gratefully received.

it usually has to be paid in full 56 days before the holiday is due to take place.
