Australian Visa

Hi all,
I have applied for and got an eVisitor (subclass 651) which will allow me to visit Australia for three months as a tourist. This visa is free.
There is also a ETA visa which costs $20 which seems to me to allow the same visiting conditions.
Why would anyone pay for the visa when you can get a free one? I guess I am worried I have missed something and have the wrong one.
Many thanks in advance

Whether you are eligible for an e-Visitor or an ETA depends on your nationality. Americans, for example, are only eligible for the paying one
