Rough fitting cost for engineered wood flooring?

Just trying to work out whether to let insurers replace floor or take cash settlement. Room is about 18m2 and we're in South Wales. Is £20 per sq m likely to cover it?

Hi, thats works out @ £360 for basically a 4.5 x 4 metre room, a decent handy man should do this in a day no probs, I wouldnt have thought more than £200-£250 fitting.

    Shame your not closer :D

    I wish!!!

Insurers have offered £1100 cash v £1300 at selected retailers v replacing it themselves. Trouble is that my flooring was white oak and they only have rustic. :/

Yeah, we fitted the last one. But that was before we had a toddler, lol.

Was looking online earlier. Will cost £850 for materials for the closest alternative (ours has been discontinued). Doesn't leave a huge amount for fitting.
