Enoughs Enough

We live in a small cul de sac and have a plot of grass outside our property and beyond that a private bricked road. Beyond that a green which obviously gets used for ball games. The problem is we have no hedge so e either get people park outside our property getting out onto our grass or the ball is forever on it. The answer would be a hedge about waist height.

Requirements:
Dry soil.
Evergreen
Hardy.
Quick growing not leylandi.
Easily maintained
Will not be destroyed by the ball whilst establishing itself.
Nice to look at
Cheap

So what type of hedge/plants do we need ?
It pays to challenge

What about Laurel bushes? Get quite bushy and are hardy. Could you not make a small picket fence while these are growing? fairly cheap to do.
