major issues with sony..need help

I purchased a laptop which had to be repaired 4 times, 3 of the times were for the same issue, (non-fault repairs). I complained to Sony and they decided to give me £100 as good will but I had to purchase one of there products of £100 value as they wouldn't give me the money. They told me I had to buy an item worth 100 pounds from there website and then they will refund me the money by transferring it into my account. It has been over two weeks since I purchased a sony dvd player worth 100 pounds and they still have not refunded the money into my account even after sending a number of emails. i have got proof of the emails where they have confirmed the good will gesture. I was wondering what I can do if they don't refund me, is there anyone I can report this to take further action??

Not sure why you consider the delay to be a major issue.

The payment is a gesture of goodwill, so it's entirely up to them to dictate how and when the payment is made.

Even refunds to a credit card, where the retailer is obliged to under consumer law to refund, can often take up to 28 days to process, and there's not a lot you can do about it but wait.

I would expect the refund/reimbursement to take at least 3-4 weeks to process into your account. Have you tried phoning them?
