Indesit/Currys 2 month old fridge broken

My elderly parents bought an Indesit fridge/freezer from Curry's 9 weeks ago. It stopped working last Wednesday. Curry's referred them to Indesit services who arranged for an engineer to come out today (Monday). The engineer came out and said he couldn't fix it because it needs a new part which will be delivered this Wednesday. They have also been told by Indesit that the new part cannot be fitted until a week on Wednesday (which will be two weeks after it first stopped working). My 80 year old father is diabetic and must keep his insulin in the fridge. It is the middle of summer and they will have been without a fridge for two weeks. Curry's and Indesit say they cannot replace it because it is repairable and worked for 21 days from date of purchase. Indesit are unable to send an engineer earlier! I think this is disgraceful service. Is there anything they can do?

21 days without a fridge is unacceptable, im sure the local papers would love to hear about this ,but might be worth trying again with currys/indesit ;)
