Can anyone recommend an IFA in central London?

Options
Hi

I was wondering if anyone could recommend an independent whole of market IFA in Central or North London.

I'd need someone who could recommend on adverse credit mortgages.

I'm not sure how best to find one.

Thanks

I'd ideally want fee free. I'm in Hackney

Thanks for this, but none of them are near me. I'm more central/east london.

If you don't know any personally, any idea of how I can find one?

    Thanks

Do you want the broker to come to you or woudl you prefer to go to them?

Do you have to see your broker face to face or could you manage with phone advice which is documented in writing?

that's the right way to go about it - I don't think brokers on here should be recommending friends/colleagues really

I dont see why not, if you know a good one and don't stand to gain there is nothing wrong with it. Better that than they go off to some inexperienced nobody or someone with poor customer skills and have a nightmare time. Yeah yeah quote the rulebook, but truly think about it, who in their right mind in our profession would recommend another broker without knowing the quality of their work?

Did you want an IFA because they would be independent by definition, however they may not specialise in mortgages, or did you want a mortage broker who was Independent (they would be whole of market anyway).
I like to give people as many choices as possible to do what I want them to. (Milton H Erickson I think)

Cannot believe that your memory is that short!!! I seem to remember a number of long drawn out threads where this subject was debated ad nauseum - let's hope Kenshaz doesn't do a forum search and find his way here!!!

From the Mortgage Advisors Code of conduct:
Mortgage Advisers should not recommend other Advisers. To prevent accusations of reciprocal help or deals, mortgage brokers should not be recommending specific other brokers. If a poster is asking for recommendations, it is best left to non-brokers or they should be referred to the MSE article.
    Trying to keep it simple...;)
