Harvey's furniture, advice needed

Hi all,
I bought a 3 seater leather sofa and armchair from Harvey's last year. Delivered at Easter. Initially we had a problem with the mechanism on the recliner which took 6 months to sort out, but it was sorted. Now we've noticed that one of the arms of the sofa has gone very wrinkly, not sure how else to describe it.
So I've phoned their customer services who told me that as its after a year since they delivered it, I need to get an upholsterer to provide a report before they will do anything, even though I took out the extra 3 years insurance. Only now am I being told that the insurance is only for accidental damage, not for manufacturing defects.
Is there anything I can do about this? I really dont see why I should get a furniture expert in for a sofa that is quite clearly shoddy, and only just over a year old.
Thanks,
Dom
