3 items, 3 different sellers, not received

I've never had problems with buying from fleabay, and have sold professionally in the past so have some experience.
The thing is, in the last month (holiday time for the post office??), 3 items have not arrived. I opened an INR case and eventually received a replacement, and now have just opened another 2 INR cases. I'm worried it looks like it's me that's pulling a fast one.
Everything else I have ordered through fleabay and other mail order has arrived with no problem.
Two of the sellers told me to check with sorting office in case a card hadn't been left, and one has not responded at all.
Not a grievance as such, just worried this is commonplace now, missing, not received items.

It might be down to posties on hols, so the temp staff are getting things wrong.
Did you contact the buyers before opening INRs? Because it looks like two gave you the right advice, eg checking with the sorting office.0 -

'Checking delivery office' is only good advice within the first couple of weeks. Three weeks in there's a dwindling chance of it being there.
As long as you have gone to dispute in legitimate circumstances, then they do not show on your profile. eBay might flag your account if you make too many claims, and if you leave feedback you run the risk of petty people looking at you askance. Thanks Crowqueen, I hate opening disputes, and if all goes well as did the first, I'll leave positive feedback. Just puts me off buying now though as 3 going astray seems ridiculous. At ours, one week has been enough for a parcel to be sent back! Whisky in that instance, I was not amused!0

Yes, I contacted buyers before opening INR's but no further response from 2 after telling them it was not at sorting office and no reply at all from the other.
Having said that, it's not convenient for me to get to the sorting office plus their opening hours are very limited. I buy online to save me from travelling. Not the sellers fault, but not mine either.0 -
For me a dispute is never a good thing - the seller has let me down and the only difference in the colour between red and grey is the way the seller handles the dispute because I'm never happy to have to open one. I like to try and give people a chance to solve the issue without going straight to a case. INR is one of those things which is not my fault at all and is squarely on the seller's shoulders to sort out - ignoring or fobbing the buyer off so that they need to open a dispute is not the right way to do it.
Beware of leaving positive feedback - not that the seller might not deserve it, but some people do trawl feedback looking for INRs and if you leave evidence in FB you could be thought to be a scammer. You shouldn't be - but if there's an unretrievable problem (no item, no replacement, just a voluntary refund) I don't leave any feedback.
