Tax on a second job (avon)

Hi, I am thinking of getting a second job with Avon.
I already pay tax on my main job so this is purly just for an extra bit of pocket money.
I wondered if anyone knows how the tax works.
I presume most months I would earn under the tax threshold with Avon, so would it be tax free earnings?
Thanks in advance

if you eanr over 8k ish ( cant remember exactly what the normal tax code is now) you will already be using your full tax allowance, and so would have to pay tax from the first openny you earn from a second job, at the rate of 20%.
you will need to register with HMRC as self employed for tax purposes.0 -
An individual only gets one tax allowance, not one per job, so if your main job takes you over the threshhold, your second job will be fully taxable.DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

Avon will be able to tell you what you need to do tax wise0

You will need to register for self assessment and fill in a tax return every year detailing your income.
If you already pay tax in your main job the you will pay tax on anything you make with Avon at 20% up to the higher rate threshold.1 Sealed Pot Challenge # 1480
