Ebay - Seller gone AWOL! - bit long sorry

Hi,

I bought an item off ebay 2 weeks ago tomorrow and it was delivered very promptly 2 days later. Unfortunately it was the wrong item so I contacted the seller who said he'd mixed his items up and had sent my item to another buyer.

He was very quick to respond and as agreed I sent the item back to him. He then emailed again to say that the other buyer hadn't replied to his emails so he couldn't get my item back to me.

I was quite patient and asked him to keep me updated. As I still hadn't heard anything by the end of last week I emailed him back and asked for a refund. I still haven't heard anything back from him now and I've sent him a message today asking for my money back and for him to confirm this by this Friday.

Do you think I have been reasonable? If i don't hear back from him what should be my next step?

I paid £19.00 for the item, £6.00 P&P and then £5.00 to send the item back (I have an email from him confirming that he will reimburse this cost).

Thanks for taking the time to read this and helping me!

Rach

    Did you pay with PayPal?

I would request the sellers contact details and give him a call.

    I did use Paypal.

I never knew that you could get the details through Paypal - I'll give it a go. Thanks :D

First of all request the sellers contact details from eBay. If that proves unsuccessful then start a PayPal dispute.
