Company in administration - Do I still have the same rights

Hi there, I bought a new motorcycle helmet from my local Hien Gericke shop 2 weeks ago, I haven't worn it yet but the anti-fog layer on the visor has a fault in it and since i bought it it has developed air pockets inside the visor, thus making it impossible to see out of.
I called the shop today and he said I would have to call back tomorrow and speak to the manager as the company is in administration so "things are more difficult." In-staid I am going to go into the shop tomorrow and speak to the manager face to face but I just want to know where I stand and If I do have the same rights as usual with the company being in administration so that I can put up a fight if he refuses to replace the visor.
Oh I should add that the helmet was reduced 20% off if that makes any difference.
Thanks for your help.

How did you pay for it? if by credit card you would be protected under S75 of the CCA if HG do not comply.Thinking critically since 1996....0

Debit cards provided the same protection - see links aboveDo you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0

Only if the faults where made aware to you and this was the reason for the reduction, then you would have no comeback.somethingcorporate wrote: »How did you pay for it? if by credit card you would be protected under S75 of the CCA if HG do not comply.
Assuming it cost over £100.00

Essentially your rights are with the retailer.
If there is no retailer, there are no rights.
Thats it in a nutshell.
(unless protected by your card, if purchased on a Credit Card both the retailer and Credit card assume the rights and you can pursue either of them)0 -
Oh I should also add for your information that I paid via debit card.0
