No fault accident ... insurance not continuing

Just wandering if anyone can help...
Basics are, someone crashed into me around 2 weeks into my new car insurance policy. The other driver accepted responsibility and there insurance fully paid up as my car was a write off.
Now this happened and I wasn't ready to drive for a while as it was quite a bad accident and shook me up, as well as no easily being able to go and find another car to buy as busy with work etc.
My insurer Admiral said that my insurance would be ongoing even with no car and that I wasn't able to pause or get a refund for the remaining months. i.e 11 months worth of insurance+
Where do I stand on this? Should they pause/freeze it until I find a new car or refund it?
Thanks in advance

If you want to cancel your cover, then point out to them your claim has been settled now by the third party. They should then allow you to cancel and refund any premium due back in line with the policy cancellation conditions.0

Thanks this is my feeling too, going have to talk to them again0

Check the policy T&Cs - does it state that you can pause the policy at no cost?
There is no claim your policy so there is no reason why, if it's in the terms, you shouldn't be offered it.
A good insurer would offer that option even if it wasn't in the terms, perhaps for a reasonable admin fee.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

In the policy it says
"If a claim is made or has arisen during the period of insurance the full premium is due and no refund will be given"
but as you said the claim was 100% accepted by the other party and paid for by them0
