How £81 becomes £13

Options
I have an unwanted mobile phone - a hi spec (full keyboard)
Nokia E90 - This is a good working but 5 year old model - with a good battery - worth approx £81 according to Mobile phone exchange's on-line quote

The only problem being a damaged battery cover (one of the locating pegs has broken off - this would cost about £8 to replace)
When I asked Mobile phone exchange for a quote - they reckon £13 !!

I am going to keep it rather than give it away for such a pittance

  • I sold a couple of mobiles to them and they always found fault and offered a much lower price, the first time I called to ask them to return my phone as I could get more for it elsewhere and they increased their offer though not to as much as their original one so I accepted.

The second time I did the same and after offeing me more again I said I still wanted it returning to me, this time they agreed to pay me the full amount to save the bother of locating it and sending it back.

In both cases I also got cashback very quickly through Quidco too!

But would taking constructive action not be more "moneysaving"?

    Exactly.

If the price he was offered was reduced for no reason, fair enough, vent away.

Having it reduced because the phone was not in the described condition and needed parts and time to bring it up to scratch - whinging for the sake of it.

Obviously the OP can't be bothered to do it themselves but they expect someone else to and get paid for the privilege.
