Why don't you want bidders from abroad - it means you can get more money for your auction items. Have you had a bad experience?"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0

Good afternoon TM6 yes its due to a bad experience. Item one goes missing so I send another which also goes missing and ive sent yet another which she is 'doubtful'will turn up funily enough so am I. Ive asked her not to bid on any more of my items till these turn up only to be told she will. TBH only about 1% of my sales go abroad so its no bid loss to me to simply say no postage abroad.. I would have refunded the buyer and blocked her.
That could also happen with a UK bidder - yet you probably would not stop selling to the UK. It's more a reason not to sell online at all than to stop selling overseas as the insurance system is no different, under £46 at least.
You can use your block bidder preferences, but if you get a number of overseas bidders those would probably be contributing to better prices so by restricting people on the basis of one poor experience.
Have a look back at your sales and see whether your 1% is bidders or sales and make sure you are not penalising everyone abroad just because of one person who could well have been British under other circumstances. Obviously it depends what you sell - there are some items I don't post abroad - but for most cheap items you will probably lose rather than gain by blocking overseas buyers."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

I have to say the process is complicated.
Someone on here explained it a while ago, and I managed to do it, but I've just tried to find where the settings are on eBay, and I'm completely stuped.
Even the help function isn't very helpful.
Hopeully someone on here will talk you through it

Go to My eBay.
Go to the Account tab, and look for Site Preferences in the drop-down menu.
Buyer Requirements is about 3/4 of the way down the page.
You can't directly block overseas buyers, but you can use that page to block people from bidding/buying in countries to which you don't ship - and then only upload postage to the UK."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
