Scottish Power Default Notice
Hello, I have a Default Notice on my credit score with a company called Callcredit, from Scottish Power, for £60.
I have contacted Scottish Power and they state they have no record of me being in debt nor have they put a Default Notice on my account.
They recommend I contact the credit company, but SP put it on my file and should take it off? I have a multi-agency report from Checkmyfile and don't want to buy one from Callcredit (Callcredit only answer enquiries to current cu$tomer$).
Is there any agency in government or regulator I can contact to get this cleared, as SP are useless, and I shouldn't have to pay another agency for another report?
Thanks

There is more than one way to play this. First of all is there any "identity" discrepancy on the CallCredit report? You name, DOB and address history should be 100% accurate.
Regarding the "shouldn't have to pay...", a statutory report from CallCredit would cost you £2. How highly do you value your credit status?0 -
also is the default for another addressDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

If you have to pay for a report, make a complaint to the supplier and request that to be paid to you on top of any correction.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0
