Morning all,
Hot and humid here too, was melting yesterday, we managed to get 2 coats on the lounge walls, another one to go, which I will do later in the week.
Its my darling dads Birthday today, so we are off to see him at tea time with a picnic, I shall make an orange drizzle cake this morning, he does like a bit of cake, hopefully today will be a good day and he will know us.
Hilstep thinking of you today.
Dinner for me and dd will be a picnic with dad, OH is staying at home as someone is coming to collect an ebay win, so I need to sort something out for him.
I have 2 wash loads to do this morning, and drop dd at work, then tidy through as much as I can.
Moorhen hope your poor dd is ok xxxx
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning everyone,
Beemuzed well done on the weight loss.
sistercas theatre tokens sound like a great idea.
Hester how did the visit go?
Judi hugs.
Hilstep happy thoughts of your mum.
Thanks to monnagran and everyone else from yesterday for thinking about my DD. She is being very brave. My friend found the jacket dumped in some bushes in the park yesterday so she has got that back but no sign of the phone. I still can't believe what happened, to threaten a teenage girl with violence (they said that they would punch her in the face) and steal her stuff in the middle of a family park at 1 30 pm on a sunny saturday afternoon! The park was crowded with families.
I hope that she will go back to the park with friends this week (she has already been in with me) but I am going to let her take her own time about it.
Today I need to tidy my house after the weekend whirlwind of teenagers and a friend is coming for coffee later.
HM chilli for tea tonight.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -
Morning all
RR - happy birthday to your dear Dad x
I slept in til 9am, a huge achievement for me! :jI never sleep in. I'm off all week and have no plans. It's making me anxious :rotfl:. I think today I will go over to see my parents and both grandmas. And then pop to one of the nice seaside villages for a wander. Sadly it's raining, but you can't control the weather. I want to go for a walk/jog but not sure if I fancy it in the rain!
OS wise - bins put out. Nothing else to do really!
Have a good day all

Morning all,
Back to work after annual leave today. Not been too eventful, found a hedgehog in the middle of the carpark wandering around trying to avoid a very interested cat. He has now been "rehomed" somewhere safer.
School is like a ghost town, will no doubt pick up towards the end of the week as teachers come in to get ready for the new term, they tend to be a bit of a pain, making a mess in classroooms that have been deep cleaned, but the company will be nice.
About to start polishing the floors, should kill today and tomorrow, them shampoo the carpets. Stopped using the dedicated solution and now used the general purpose sanitiser i use to clean everything else cheaper by more than 50% and smells much nicer too. Also another tip i got from the flooring contractor is to use a spray bottle on the stains an hour or so prior to cleaning on the bigger stains helps shift them.
take care all, enjoy the weather while it lastsNever put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

All hedgehogs found during the day should be rescued. We found two recently and as a result are now part of a local initiative to feed and record Hedgehog activity as they are now endangered. We have a feeding station with movement activated recording and have loads of hogs who visit us at night - we watch them on our tv live. Here is the link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spsvPj1Xi34&feature=youtu.beI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Very interesting information, had i been aware of it i would have called a local centre (assuming there is one nearby) any how, the school grounds are huge and we have an area that is allowed to grow wild so it should be ok in there.Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
