today i bought a steam generator iron from currys. I was actually really excited about doing the ironing for once:) but its rubbish. Its supposed to be an early b,day present (not romantic i know, but i needed one) and i am really disappointed. There doesnt seem to be much steam coming out at all. Now i dont know if its supposed to be like that( i have had other models and they acted differently to this) or if it is faulty.
At £100 it wasnt the cheapest or the dearest, but what are my rights?
Am i just stuck with it now?
Thanks

It's new so have you followed all the instructions.. Mine has a indicator on it that let's me know when the pressure is high enough.
Also it has settings that I can regulate the amount of steam used.I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0 -

Have a look on Amazon.co.uk to see if you can find the iron on there & see what the customer reviews are like.
They generally have loads of reviews for products they sell and they always seem to show all of them and not just the favourable ones.
If all of the write ups are pretty good, then it's possible that you have just received a dodgy iron.0 -
That was my thinking.shaun_from_Africa wrote: »Have a look on Amazon.co.uk to see if you can find the iron on there & see what the customer reviews are like.

Also OP do you have a vented iron board so the steam can go through or a solid one, I assume a vented one as you have said you have had them before.0 -
