Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, Red. I don't know what the process is, but maybe you could ring the OR's office & ask if there's anything that can be done about it, especially because of your ex-partner & it being a personal safety issue.

As for your job, please try not to worry about it. Your boss can't sack you or even discipline you for it unless you're in one of those jobs where you're supposed to notify them of BR. I realise that if he finds out it will be uncomfortable for a while, but don't let it drive you out of your job. You have rights, & just because you're BR it doesn't mean you have to take flack from anyone.

Totally understand your feelings about that. There's a certain individual who reads the local rag who i don't want to see my BR details. She'll have a field day! You'd think that they wouldn't put your full address etc in, but it seems like they do. Just seen mine and hubby's full details on the insolvency website 2 days after the deed! including OH's job details. There must be some form of protection the OR can offer surely?! Unless we're meant to be named and shamed!

I have read either here or elsewhere of people getting an exemption for this sort of reason. I assume you have to offer some sort of proof/evidence.
