OK I did contact Orange last week to discuss their email regarding stopping my free BB but got nowhere. I then thought id sit it out and see what happened as my cut off date is 6 Nov. I have now decided to take this further and emailed Ofcom the other day and got the usual reply. I have now just emailed the link supplied by Ofcom http://help.orange.co.uk/orangeuk/support/personal/contacting_us but wondering if I should also email the exec office and if so does anyone know the address please?

You need to get an ofcom case number to quote

Then call 0800 0790 134 Orange Executive Office to log your complaint.
Take the name of the person you speak to
Then put your complaint in writing and email it to

FAO (name of person you spoke to) executive.office@everythingeverywhere.com

I'm not affected by this, but thought I'd add my twopenneth worth about Watchdog.
What I fear will happen is that they will revisit this story next week or the week after and the whole thing will be a 'Watchdog had these complaints and look at what we've managed to get done for our viewers' rather than giving credit to this site

I take your point, however,I and others have begged Martin to take our case up, but nothing has been forthcoming.
So not so much the 'site' as the members, not to mention all the new members,(including myself) that have joined as result of this thread which runs high in google search.
At least watchdog has taken the case up and given it coverage.

They will manage to get help for 2 or 3 of their viewers on an individual basis. One of which may, or may not be a disabled person. One of which will almost certainly be an elderly person, with maybe a single mum thrown in for good measure.

:)

would it be of any benefit if we all grouped together for 1 legal case..

the people v orange..?

or are we better off persuing individual claims,.?

Well, it may be the thing to do?, although I suspect it may take a while longer.
Member watchdog posted in one of his initial posts about a group that took action against hoover offering free flights to USA;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoover_free_flights_promotion

and of course it is possible majority will want to get this over and done with, it is very time consuming and disruptive.

Organization would need to be paramount, as of course research on how it would be best taken forward.
• for me it isnt the money extra...its the principle. and moral justification.

I FEEL WRONGED BY ORANGE.

Think we all feel the same road hog........is not so much about the money for me, as the principle, and if I am totally honest, while not wanting to cut of my nose to spite my face, this company has destroyed all trust.........going forward I do not think that can be repaired
• I have been a mobile phone customer for many many years. I have continued to use Orange only because they have given me "FREE (landline) BROADBAND AND ANYTIME NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CALLS FOR LIFE" for the price of £5 a month.

How many customer service and mobile sales staff have told me this through the years I have lost count!

All I want now is a copy of my original Terms and Conditions. Orange say they cannot help and keep passing me to different departments and back again. They ask me to check the terms on the sales page but what point is that it's not the same contract.

I have not yet received the actual letter from Orange as it's supposedly gone out to the free broadband customers first. The £5 a month customers should get theirs in the next 2 weeks or so. The last rep from Orange said don't worry nothing has changed if you haven't received the letter yet!

So to my next problem: my mobile contract is due in less than six weeks. I wonder if I call them now and ask if my homebroad broadband is still for life as I have continued my contract.. what will they say? I will follow this up later with their response.

Its a total scam! out and out. i don't know about being on watchdog, they should be on the real hustle!

Any company that has to quote read your Terms & Conditions isn't worth doing business with. Terms & Conditions should be totally irrelevant outside of a court of law. I think a large majority of people can understand an offer, spoken terms and acceptance. If small print is going to feature so high in consumer law from now on with large businesses they should be forced to read it all out before hand.

I have a feeling if they had to it'd start to shrink not get bigger. The FSA has the right idea.

I have just got off the phone to CISAS

Having explained the situation to them, they will not be able to adjudicate on this case, as it was......wait for it and I apologise to montage in advance!

A BUSINESS DECISION!

So, it would appear, and CISAS agreed, we may as well get on with any legal action we may each be considering.

No use waiting 8 weeks at all:mad:

Additionally I was told to phone trading standards due to being mis-sold; I did that already, yesterday!............Cannot go through to trading standards only CAB, and all I got was they can do it due to T&Cs even though it's mis-sold.

I am going to disappear somewhere if I keep going round in ever decreasing circles!
Think it has to be Court and let the Judge decide

Orange / EE unfortunately you have just breached your own complaints procedure again, by failing again to ring me within your promised time scale. That's the 4th time since 28/8. Still never mind I am sure this will only help my case:D

See you in the small claims court (sorry i cant be bothered trying to deal with you anymore - having followed your own complaints process and getting nowhere - 4 times):D

Orange / EE Not to be trusted.
