Help to identify old credit card?!

Hi, I’m brand new here so please be gentle :wave:
Does anyone know how to find out which bank issued a credit card that was used 6 years 10 months ago back in Oct 2005 (for a £500 deposit for now-ruptured PIP implants)
From all I’ve read I believe I can try to make a claim under section 75 – clinic went into administration in 09. Unfortunately, though my receipt says Mastercard, it only displays the last 4 digits of the card number and it doesn’t name the issuing bank. Of course I don’t have any statements from that far back...Doh.
We think it was “Citicard” but in 2010 they were bought by Opus and Opus say they only have records going back 6 years. Also CoOp bank (used to pay off credit card) say they don’t have records going that far back. Aarrgghh!!
So far have tried doing the Experian on-line credit check but this didn’t go back far enough either
Please help if you know if I can find out for definite which bank issued the card, and also if you know if Opus would even be liable for a Citicard claim? As I’m pretty sure it was Citicard, if Opus say they haven’t got records going that far back can they prove it wasn’t a Citibank card I wonder??
Many thanks for any help whatsoever!

COOP Bank display the first nine digits of credit card numbers paid by direct debit on statements
The information may be archived and not accessible to whoever you spoke to but may be provided in response to a Data Protection subject access request , so you could make further enquiries
"If your Citi credit card account was closed before November 2010 or not transferred to Opus Card" there is a different address for enquiries here ;

The Co-operative Bank only issues VISA cards. If you cannot trace the card records, maybe you would have more luck tracing the card payment records on your current account. Lloyds in particular lets you go back to 2002.0
