i am at risk of being made redundant in the next few weeks we have to go through a selection criteria, but have noticed in the past 2 times we went through a redundancy there seem to be alot of people from a certain religion got made redundant. i am just looking for a bit of info on this can it be deemed unfair to be made redundant on the grounds of religion

does the ratio have to reflect the population of the country? say 60/40

No. But you do have to prove that the basis for the choice may be discriminatory.
