London hotel recommendations near to tube but free/cheap parking

Options
Can anyone help me with finding a London hotel which is near to any tube station but has free/cheap car parking facilities.

We are travelling by car down from Liverpool for the paralympics in September but will be travelling from the hotel to the Olympic village on the day by tube. We are hoping to spend the whole day there and probably coming back to the hotel last at night so somewhere safe and not too far from the tube station is needed.

Budget is £150 for 2 nights Sept 7th - 9th

Many thanks

Premier Inn Harrow (actually in Kenton) is my favourite.

Choice of 2 tube lines (100m to Kenton and 400m to Northwick Park), should one be down for maintenance, and about 30 mins from Central London. Secure car parking on site.

Not sure if you'll get it within your budget. I normally pay £29 to £49 per night on their saver deals. :)

If you do go here, be sure to ask for a room overlooking Carlton Avenue, which means you're at the other side of the hotel to the train lines.

Premire Inn is where we Stay either Greenwich (bus tube ) within 3 min walk Parking think £15 per night look for savers or hammersmith again parking on site £15. tube station about £4.00 taxi ride away. My husband is disabled so these are the ones we use.
  • I'm going by train and staying at the Euston travel lodge. It seemed one of the easiest for getting to the stadium.

It might be an idea to park up at a tube station and get the tube in. For example you could park at Stanmore tube which is not far from the M1 and it is £4.50 for the Friday, £1.50 for the sat, £1 for Sunday so prepay £7 for the parking.

You could then stay at Crowne Plaza London Docklands which is by Royal Victoria DLR station for £70 a night for a double room if you use the two for one link or you have Kings cross Bloomsbury at £72 per night and it is a 10 minute walk to the tube/train from there.

You can get the DLR from Royal Victoria to Canning Town and then get the tube to Stratford. From Kings Cross you have the high speed Olympic Javelin train to Stratford. www.tfl.gov.uk to plan your journeys.

You could also look at staying somewhere out a bit such as Rickmansworth Long Island Hotel is opposite the Rickmansworth tube station and £45 for Friday and £55 for Sat per double room with free parking. Mixed reviews but good reviews from those who stayed during Olympics. There is also a Whetherspoons in the Town which is five mins walk for cheap breakfasts and meals.
