my OHs family used to do something called silly presents where they would have to get a member of the family a silly/sarcastic present for undermine pounds....it worked like secret Santa.
It probably sounds daft and abut of a waste of money but some of the presents were hilarious. it's funnier when you base them on the persons personality or an event that happened that year.
Examples I can remember are a map and compass for someone who got lost up a mountain one year, a fake toy mobile phone for someone who kept dropping his in the loo, when they had moved into their mid twenties my Oh received a blow up doll when he had been without a gf for a few years and then our first christmas together his present was a pin to pop it!
It's quite fun sitting in your pjs remembering the occasions that prompted the silly present for a particular person!"More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them." - Harold J. Smith:cool:0 -
If you're getting them all iPods could you give them a treasure hunt? First clue in an envelope in a small box in a big box in a big box in as many boxes as you can be bothered with, then they need to puzzle out another clue and another and another until they find the present haul.
If you were really mischievous, you could have millions of clues leading them all over the place and then the last one say, And now back to where it all began, and while they'd been up in the attic or at the end of the garden hunting amid the bushes you'd put a pot of hot chocolate on the stovetop and put their actual presents under the tree
I think silly gifts, useful gifts and Nerf guns are all brilliant ideas too, plus a board game or a family console game for after lunch.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I'm 26 with a brother and 2 sisters (29, 20 and 16) and we still love all the stocking filler presents that I get from 'Father Christmas' who manages to remember every year to drop my gifts and Mum and Dad's house! Make up wipes, socks, bath stuff, shower gel, favourite chocolates etc. We love it! Most people that I know my age still love the little bits that allow you to revert back to being a 6 y/old again!
To keep us all entertained one year, we got Guitar Hero for the xBox which was great fun with all the family, especially the Grandparents! The year before we had a singing game called Lips which was equally good, and the year before that we had a Nintendo Wii which everyone had a go on.0 -

My boys, men actually, still get a yoyo, polystyrene airplane and other silly toys. My SIL, who sadly has recently passed away, was concerned the 1st year that he wouldn't get to play with their toys. He didn't need to as we had got him his own!

My brothers and I are all in our 20s and still get a large stocking alongside our main present. I think it helps that my mum wraps absolutely everything, even the sweets, so it takes longer to go through everything.
We all get a selection box and chocolate coins- always have done, and we still appreciate them! We also get stuff we have to buy anyway throughout the year like underwear, shower gel and perfume. We all get books and DVDs too. One year we all got a beloved childhood favourite on DVD; that went down very well. Mine was Nightmare Before Christmas so it was Christmas themed too.
Popular presents for the boys have been computer games (particularly ones where everyone can get involved, like Rock Band), radio controlled helicopters, nerf guns and power balls. They've also appreciated nostaglic stuff like retro sweets and
polystyrene planes and dinosaurs. Last year I bought one of my brothers a pair of touch screen gloves which were great for a practical gift.
Check out Firebox.com, they do some fab gifts for teenagers and adults; particularly the men0
