Suprima Boiler Problem

I have a Suprima boiler and have experienced just about all the faults ever raised on these forums over the past 12 years. 2 years ago (July 2010) I fitted the new PCB mod kit and it has worked fine and dandy up until this weekend. It now switches off just as it switches on! Basically it's called up from say the hot water cylinder or the room stat, then around 2 seconds later shuts down. There is no led lockout or unusal sequence of lights that would indicate a fault, it just continues to try and start its cycle. This can go on for quite a while until I switch it off at the controls. It has gone through with its cycle the odd time but soon goes back to its antics. Please let it not be a fault with the new PCB????

Can anybody shed any light on this for me?

We had this happen and even when they fitted a new PCB the fault re-appeared after a year or perhaps two. Eventually we got a version 2 card and the problems went away. Before we discovered this was the problem we spoke to Potterton who denied there was any problem. They seem the only people on planet earth who think this.
Have you any sort of service contract or support?

I havent got service contract, i dont believe in them but it may have paid to have one on the boiler. Im pretty handy and do most of my own repairs to most things. Did you have the new type pcb enclosed in the grey box? I reckon that the pcb will be at fault again. Its been ok this afternoon, i may try a new thermistor as these are only around 4 quid.
