Radiator renovation

My wife bless her cotton socks has decided that the house needs a bit of work
So new stairs, new wooden flooring and radiators

Before I embark on this couple of hours work, what I need is

How much would a Oak staircase(or oak veneer) cost to install, fourteen steps, one run with handrail?
Flooring,we're looking at about 50m2 of reclaimed oak or a decent copy installed,I'd be ripping up the old carpet skirtings etc
And radiators,we've managed to get hold of a job lot of old victorian radiators but they have decades of paint on them so need stripping, would a local shotblaster be able to do it?
Been on websites in the south Wales area but they just seem to do industrial

Many thanks in advance, this is the lull before Hurricane Jane takes effect!
Total debt 2003 £29658

Debt now £ 21 but haggling!,Haggled now gone up!

Sorry,forgot the bloody card!!!!!!,was £6000 now down to £4896,now down to £3198,now £2756!

Sandblasting would be better for your rads than shotblasting. Try googling that. You'll get a better response too.

As for the stairs - no idea. Think you should get someone in to quote tbh.

Not grey funnel line aircrew are you (from your username)?

    Cheers

You'll find one. If you don't find an architectural reclamation yard and ask them who they would suggest.

Oh - makes me feel old. I came outside getting on for ten years earlier before the Falklands spat. In my day we spelt it with a "u" rather than "oo". :D

Correct,my wifes DIY tinescale only runs in hours and minutes,
A room decoration is a 'quick' job ranging to the 'It'll not take you long ' which means all social activity will cease till the next decade.

A local scrapyard bead blasted a number of panel radiators for my daughter for the remarkable cast of a tenner apiece, but I think the fact that he had taken a shine to her had something to do with it:D:D

Made a cracking job though and certainly worth double, cast iron would be much more expensive I guess.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
