    The breast pockets do not appear to be waterproof. The lower pocket flaps are poorly designed. The zips on the sleeves are not waterproof >

    HG have a very similar jacket, the York @ 199.95€

    You may notice the breast zips are a waterproof design, but those on the sleeves are not.

    I would suggest both of these jackets would be perfectly suitable for use in a shower / light rain, but I would use an oversuit in heavy rain.

    This is my point Summit GTX was sold to him as being totally waterproof (for him at least). The information on the attached tags stated that none of the pockets were waterproof, and that items should be put in a plastic bag before being put in the pockets. The lower pockets have sewn in labels which state "waterproof pocket". When I queried this with HG they confirmed that a batch were mislabelled during manufacture.

    Water gets in under the jacket across the front where there is no zip to connect it to the trousers, and behind the flap that covers the front zip on the jacket.

    This is a £600 set that doesn't do what it is supposed to.
